The Inconvenient Truth About My Canon Powershot A480

I love taking pictures that is why I’m so excited to have my new digital camera. I bought a Canon Powershot A480 Digital Camera for P7,950.00 (discounted price) with a promo of 12 mos. installment with 0% interest. Canon Powershot A480 has the following features:

  • 10.0 Mega Pixels
  • 3.3x Optical Zoom
  • Face Detection Technology
  • 2.5″ LCD
  • 1 cm. 0.4 in. macro

Aside from its useful features, Canon Powershot A480 gave some freebies such as 2 rechargeable AA Batteries and Battery Charger, Kit and 2GB Memory Card. And yes, the image quality is good. Did I hit the jackpot or what?! It is the best bargain ever!

But here’s my question, what’s the catch? My cam was doing fine for 6 days until the lens slightly hit my hand after switching on the device. Suddenly, the cam created a grinding sound as if it was stuck or something. This really upset me terribly.

Fortunately, the cam was still covered by the 7-day replacement policy so I rushed right away to COMPLINK (MOA outlet), the store where I bought the device and it was immediately replaced.

Actually, I was having doubts if they’re going to replace it since it was my first time to buy from that store. I had no idea how they will respond to the situation but I was surprised by their quick positive action. I’m so happy and very satisfied with COMPLINK’s after-sales service.

I believe that things happen for a reason and I’ve learned two things from this experience. First, Canon Powershot A480 is too fragile so one should take extra care in handling it. Second, I found a store that I could trust.

Next time I need a gadget or a device I’ll go straight to them not only because of their good after-sales service, but its people are friendly too.
