What is The Role of Kris in Aquino Administration?

Kris Aquino filed an indefinite leave on her showbiz career to help help fulfill her brother’s campaign promises. “We will pay it forward,” she said.

She will be distributing school supplies to some 10,000 grade school students in Aquino’s bailiwick, Tarlac. She’s also set to go to Cebu in the 3rd week of June and then go to Ormoc province. Kris said that she’s confident her brother will do well in the whole 6 years of his term.

“Of course there will be difficulties, but I know that my brother will be very capable and I look forward to a much better Philippines for all of us,” she said. She also prepared herself for all the criticism her family will face. (more…)

The people rejoiced right after the proclamation of the new President and Vice President was announced by the Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile and Speaker of the House Prospero Nograles. Noynoy Aquino Featured on TIME Magazine

The Liberal Party bet Senator Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III is on the April 25, 2010 issue of the highly respected TIME magazine. It seems that Sen. Aquino inherited his mother’s place on the TIME’s cover for being the “1986 Woman of the Year”.

The article cited Aquino’s journey to the presidency after her mother, Cory Aquino, died of colon cancer and raised the question whether he would be able to “save the Philippines?” It also includes his family life, his singlehood and his struggle to convince voters to choose him over his rival Senator Manny Villar.

On personal note: I hope that someday a messiah will come and save our country just like the Jews who are still waiting for their “Messiah” to come. But with the economic situation in our country today, patience doesn’t seem to be a virtue anymore. We have to do something right here, right now before we ourselves fall into the pit of abject poverty and corruption.
